I do a few different things included photography, marketing consultant and magazine and content publishing. I also run social media programs for various businesses. Below I've talked about me the photographer, so if you're a model, a bride to be, a family ... anyone wanting photos please let me know. If you're a business wanting help with marketing or social media take a look at my Marketing page and then I'd love to hear from you.
Calling myself a photographer has always been difficult. From the very first wedding I did around 14 years ago, when I was introduced at the reception by the groom who kindly said, "We'd like to thank the photographer..."
That's me, I thought sitting there. But I'm not a "photographer" like Steve McCurry or Bresson or Winogrand. I'm just a guy with a camera.
From that day on I struggled with the title, Photographer. I still don't consider myself a photographer. One of those brilliant artists like Annie Leibovitz, Sally Mann or one of the hundreds (thousands) who've created images that stop you in your tracks, astound you with their beauty or get you thinking about the story behind the image.
Yet here I am, 15 years later. I love photography, I confess to being a bit of a gear/tech geek at times. I love sitting at my Mac and taking an image and adjusting it to reflect what I was seeing or thinking at the time of taking it. Sometimes a little toning or sharpening. Sometimes lots of fun playing around with the image. It's what I (and my subject) like, not what anyone else thinks.
So this is me. 50 something, married, older kids, a cat called Little Puss who's a pig, a cat called Tom who forgot to die - seriously he's like 23 or something. Another cat called Mittens who I can't remember ever seeing cause she's so damn timid she's always hiding. Two funny dogs and my love of good music, life and faith.
